This event was attended by USU Vice Rector I Dr. Edy Ikhsan, along with Deans, Vice Deans I, and Heads of Study Programs from faculties in the Non-Exact Sciences field. The keynote speaker was Luluk Widyawati, S.E., M.Bus., Ph.D., head of the undergraduate program in accounting at Universitas Indonesia.

The event aims to encourage lecturers to create participatory and collaborative classrooms while also boosting the achievement of Universitas Sumatera Utara's 7th Key Performance Indicator (IKU) and targeting the 8th IKU, which focuses on internationally accredited study programs. As a follow-up, LINKUP USU will organize mentoring sessions for all Diploma and Undergraduate Degree Study Programs within the Non-Exact Sciences faculties to develop Semester Learning Plans (RPS) based on Project-Based Learning (PJBL) and Case Method Learning (CML) and to implement them comprehensively.

This is particularly crucial as the RPS serves as an essential document guiding the implementation of Outcome-Based Learning. The goal is that by the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, more than 50% of Undergraduate and Vocational Study Programs at USU will have adopted PJBL and CML in their teaching practices.

This initiative will involve Diploma and Bachelor's Degree Study Programs in the Non-Exact Sciences faculties and extend to those in the Exact Sciences faculties, with activities scheduled for August 14, 2023.
