The Curriculum and Learning Innovation Institution (LINKUP) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a workshop on Joint Degree and Double Degree Curriculum Design for all study programs at USU on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Faculty of Nursing Hall, USU.

This event was attended by representatives from 16 faculties and 165 study programs, including undergraduate, vocational, postgraduate, and specialist/professional programs. The workshop aimed to provide information and guidance on developing joint and double-degree programs. The keynote speaker was Dr. Ir. Hatma Suryatmojo, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU, Director of Academic Studies and Innovation at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). UGM currently offers Indonesia's most joint degree and double degree programs, with 85 study programs enabling students to gain international experience and dual degrees. The interactive discussions between participants and the speaker reflected the participants' enthusiasm. The workshop will be followed up with periodic mentoring activities by LINKUP USU. The expected outcome of this activity is achieving Key Performance Indicator 8 and elevating USU's global ranking.
