One of the efforts includes preparing study programs at USU to achieve international accreditation. International accreditation is a globally recognized certification that is essential for USU to enhance its Key Performance Indicator (KPI) 8. Study programs require curriculum documents based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach as a prerequisite for obtaining international accreditation. One of the international accreditations recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) is the ASIIN accreditation.

LINKUP USU assists study programs in preparing OBE-based curriculum documents and supports study programs in meeting the requirements for international ASIIN accreditation, focusing on program competencies across various fields of study. USU is preparing four study programs, which include three programs from the Faculty of Agriculture (Animal Science, Food Science and Technology, Agrotechnology) and one program from the Faculty of Forestry (Forestry). These programs fall under the ASIIN SSC 08 scope: Agriculture, Forestry, Food Sciences, and Landscape Architecture.

On February 16, 2023, LINKUP USU held a Workshop on ASIIN International Accreditation at the Academic Senate Room, Rectorate Bureau, USU. This was followed by a four-day consultation session at Grandhika Hotel from February 20-23, 2023.
